Networking is a useful skill that you can develop whilst you study. Join this workshop to learn how you can improve your network and build relationships with your industry. This session will include creating or updating your LinkedIn profile, small talk, using your pitch and other hints and tips that will help you in any professional meeting or event.
The ABC’s of Australian Business Culture

This workshop will teach you about business etiquette, otherwise known as what’s acceptable and expected in a professional environment, as this varies from country to country. In this workshop, you will learn about the main cultural differences found in Australian workplaces and some very practical tips that will help you fit into a new workplace environment. You will learn top tips to help you in your journey at work in Australia.
Your First 100 Days in the New Job
Tuesday 17 October, 3.30pm-5pm
Graduates often ask us three main questions: How do I get a job? How do I keep a job? And how do I get promoted? All these questions are directly related to what employers expect of their staff. This workshop will cover time management, negotiating at work and key performance indicators. This is a must attend for those wanting to progress in their careers in Australia.
Guest Speaker – Australian Workplace
Tuesday 24 October, 3.30pm-5pm
In this interactive session, students and graduates will be able to ask all their questions to a manager who has a lot of experience working with international students and migrants. They will be able to share the main difficulties faced and what you can do to prepare and succeed in the Australian workplace. This session will cover business culture, customs and practices you will commonly experience working in Australia.
